A San Francisco-based bank is planting its flag in North Texas with a new office at the Dallas Galleria.
Bank of the West has located a new commercial banking center in the Galleria Towers on Noel Road north of LBJ Freeway.
The new office will offer clients a broad range of commercial services, including lending, equipment leasing, domestic and international treasury management.
Bank of the West will use the location in Galleria One Tower as a beachhead to expand business in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
“The Texas economy is one of the largest and most vibrant anywhere on the globe, home to some of the largest public and private U.S. companies as well as fast-growing startups poised to change their respective industries,” Jean-Marc Torre, Head of Commercial Banking, Bank of the West, said in a statement. “With this new Center, we are committed to delivering the products and solutions that these companies need to grow, offering deep local expertise along with the global reach through our parent company BNP Paribas.”
Susan Garner will head the new office as managing director and regional manager. She previously was a senior vice president for CitiBank N.A. in Dallas.
The new Dallas office is just the latest expansion for Bank of the West. In June the bank expanded for the first time to Ohio with an office in Cleveland.
Bank of the West is just one of several out-of-state financial firms expanding commercial banking operations in North Texas.
